The spiral separator is shortened as classifier which is a commonly used classifying machine during the ore beneficiation process. It can be combined with the ball mill to form a closed cycling system in order to split the ore flow, or used in the gravity dressing process for splitting the ore sand and fine mud. In addition, it can also be used for demudding and dewatering in the ore washing process.
The rotary separator separates the materials using the principle that the materials have different falling speed due to the difference in size and proportion. The finer ore particles float on the upper water, and the heavy particles that run out of the separator fall to the bottom of the chute. Since this machine has a spiral type main axis, it is also called screw classifier, spiral concentrator.
The ore spiral classifier is mainly used for separating pulp and fine mud in the ore beneficiation plant. It can also be used for processing the ore pulp ground by the ball mill.
