Rod Mill

Rod mill is a new type ore grinding machine which is widely used in the ore beneficiation production line. It has the similar working principle with the ball mill, but since the ore grinding media filled in the machine are steel rod, it is called rod mill. It is widely applied in powder grinding all kinds of rocks and ores in metal and non-metallic mining, water conservancy and building material department. As a result, it can also be called mineral rod mill or ore rod mill.

Grinding Rod Mill Types

Since grinding rod mill often adopts over flow type, it is also called wet type rod mill. Generally speaking, grinding rod mill is used as first-stage open-circuit ore grinding equipment. n addition, there is dry rod mill which is often used in artificial sand and stone making production line, ore beneficiation plant, chemistry and power station.

The grinding granularity of the rod mill is related to the rocks to be ground. When the steel rods impact the rocks, the large and coarse particles are the first to be hit, and then the small and fine ones. In this way, over-crushing phenomenon can be avoided. So it can also be called crushing mill.

The driving method of the rod mill can be divided into left rotation and right rotation, so that it is also called rotary rod mill. The discharging methods are round discharging and center discharging, and Hongxing Machinery is able to customize the production.
